At Chantry Bowmen we love to welcome new people to the sport of archery, we run a series of beginners' courses throughout the year where you will receive 1 classroom session followed by six 2 hour lessons. Our course costs £50 per person.
The structure of the sessions is varied to meet the needs of the participants but we always start with a classroom session where you will learn all the safety aspects of archery and the final lesson is a shoot which is scored like a mini competition.
Our lessons are taught by the experienced members of the club who have a wealth of experience and volunteer their time to coach the lessons. We can cater for most disabilities, we have blind archers, members in wheelchairs and even an archer with 1 arm, so please contact us using the details below if you have any questions at all.
The only restriction we have on our courses is you must be at least 8 years old; anyone under the age of 16 must have a responsible adult with them throughout the course.
To enquire about a space on our courses please contact us by sending an email to TrainingEnquiries@chantrybowmen.co.uk or phoning 0114 2 664 145.
You will be required to come to our venue in advance of the lesson to fill out a registration form and pay a deposit of £20.
